Our services.
At Wellbeing Trailhead, we offer tailored psilocybin services, provided a powerful boost, combining traditional therapy—drawing from over 20 years of experience—with the soulful insights of psychedelics (macro-dose Psilocybin and mini-dose Ketamine) to accelerate healing and growth as you navigate life's challenges.
Psychotherapy
I (unconsciously) entered the psychotherapy profession to heal the impacts of my own traumatic early life. The size of my wounds required psychotherapy over the course of about 15 years, until it seemed like my problems had downsized to normal proportions. I will be forever grateful to the therapists who helped me tend to and heal those deep, old wounds.
Until recently, the psychotherapy that was available ended there, and it wasn’t a bad end. I wish a good psychotherapy experience on everyone, and I think all of us could use more eyes than our own to figure out this thing called “life,” and if that’s what you’ve come to Wellbeing Trailhead for, that’s what you’ll receive.
Your experience here will be tailored to your needs based on my training and experience of over 20 years in the field. Internal Family Systems is my favorite modality to deal with trauma, and I blend it with Bowen Family Systems to understand the emotional system of our family of origin, often a source of trauma. I also use elements of Narrative Therapy, Attachment Theory, EMDR, Guided Imagery, and other tools to help you make it to your chosen destination. That’s what psychotherapy can do.
Psychotherapy with a Boost
And then there’s psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAT), which is like turbo-charged psychotherapy! For those who choose to use psychedelics as a tool in their healing backpack, Wellbeing Trailhead offers screening, preparation, and post-dose integration psychotherapy services. I can’t emphasize enough, though, that psychedelic-assisted therapy is still therapy. It’s just therapy with a boost to the NEXT LEVEL!
People often tell me that psychedelic-assisted therapy is “like five years of therapy in five hours!” I can say from my own psychedelic experiences, that’s true, but the exuberance can be misleading. The emphasis must be on the therapy, not the psychedelics. Without integrative psychotherapy, the insights from psychedelic experiences tend to fade over time. With therapy however, the gains can get locked in, decreasing the amount of time and money spent on the treatment process long term.
I can only imagine, if psychedelics had been available to me when I began my healing trek at 26 years old (over half my life ago now!), I (and my loved ones) would have been spared a tremendous amount of grief, pain, and money. While the cost of psychedelic-assisted therapy up front tends to be steeper than psychotherapy alone, the cost in the long run is far less—in dollars, compromised wellbeing, pain, and suffering.
Furthermore, the transformation of psychedelics can be a gift we give our offspring. Had psychedelics been available to my family of origin, I may not have needed such a long psychotherapy trek myself. Now that I’m here, though, I’m grateful to offer myself as a Sherpa along your trail, bringing my personal and professional training and experience as your guide on the side, teaming up with your own inner sage on the stage, to help you bushwhack through the brush and bramble until you reach the vista you define for yourself.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
Psycholytic psychotherapy combines traditional talk therapy with carefully administered, low-dose psychedelics (such as ketamine) to support a more open, receptive therapeutic state. In this state, clients often experience reduced psychological defenses, quieted overthinking, and greater access to insight, intuition, and emotional clarity.
During sessions, clients remain present and communicative, working directly with their therapist as emotions, memories, and patterns emerge in real time. This can support meaningful processing of trauma and emotional distress in a grounded, supported environment.
Many people describe the experience as feeling more open-hearted and connected to their inner sense of knowing—what some call an “internal medicine” or innate wisdom that can be harder to access in ordinary states of consciousness.

A Final Metaphor
A former racer, an old friend of mine is a beast on a bike. Despite my own athleticism, we couldn't ride together because I was always lagging too far behind… until I got an electric bike—a bike with an assist of four levels: 1, 2, 3… and Turbo. Even then, I had a hard time keeping up sometimes. But one time, going up a steep hill, I boosted into Turbo, gliding past my huffing-and-puffing friend with a wave and a smile. That's what psychedelics can do to therapy: turbocharge the experience, often with a wave and a smile.
That's not to say there's no grunt work or steep climbing in psychedelic-assisted therapy. There is. It's just that you can get to the summit so much faster where the view is stunning!
